Seriously, Shonda Rhimes? SERIOUSLY?!

Spoilers for the Grey's Anatomy finale to follow. Read on at your own discretion. But, man, was this bad, or what?

How often has it ever happened that a plane crashes and even one person survives? Tell me, what are the odds? And they seriously want any halfway intelligent viewer to believe that all but one of the passengers survived a fucking plane crash? You're effin' kidding me, right? This is plain ridiculous. I feel insulted.

I'm still watching it as I type this, and I feel a strong urge to fast forward through it. This has never happened with a Grey's episode for me. I mean, they've never prided themselves on writing believable stories, but this goes too far even in the grand scheme of primetime TV writing. I seriously hope they don't continue on this tangent next season, otherwise they might be losing me as an audience member. And I don't usually give up on TV shows easily.

In other news: I have a sore throat which I know is gonna turn into a full fledged cold. Yay me. This year isn't getting off to a great start. I've already been sick twice. What gives, 2012?

Hmmm like you said even on LOST not all the passengers survived and it was a special island...

Well, take care of that throat, chicken broth and lemon tea with honey it's my grandma's advice ;P

The Grey's episode was ridiculous. Seriously. I did actually finish watching it, but I got a bit bored with it. In fact, I'm getting a little sick of all the season finales ending on these bloody cliffhangers. CSI: NY almost did it too.

The throat's getting a little better, but I still feel mushy in the head.

Lol, I don't watch Grey, I tried once and didn't really catch my attention, unfortunately... I understand what you mean, a good cliffhanger doesn't need to be bloody.

Take care of that throat and head *hugs*

I've actually watched it from the very beginning and not missed a single episode. I have a thing for medical drama. And I've liked most episodes, but this finale was just... meh. I didn't like the musical episode either. Sometimes it's cool if TV shows experiment with new formats, but certain things just don't work on a medical drama, you know?

Throat and head are much better today. I actually worked from home yesterday because I just didn't feel like tackling being in the office. I did go back there today, and it was actually okay. Not great yet, but getting there. And (fingers crossed) looks like it was "just" a throat thing. My sinuses have hopefully been spared the aggravation. Let's hope it stays that way.

I used to like medical dramas too, the only one I watched more regularly was ER, and then after a while I stopped... And then I watched Holby City, a British show, but because Peter Wingfield was in it ;P

Sending good "get well" vibes your way! Could it be from allergies? I don't know how it's there, but here the weather has been playing havoc with allergies...

No, I'm pretty sure this wasn't allergies. I know what allergies feel like cause I always have hay fever in the spring (birch pollen especially). Though this year it's been very mild (thankfully). This felt like a real bacterial infection.

Well, I ask you that because last year in November, I thought I was coming up with the flu or something, and when I went to the doctor he said I was having a severe allergic reaction. And my allergies never manifested themselves in that way. Weird weather, weird reactions, that's what I thought...

Yeah, I think I know what you mean. But generally, with allergies you don't... uhm, how do I say this without being disgusting? Let's just say you can usually tell from the color of the secretion if it's allergies (cause then it's clear) or bacterial infection (cause then it's more yellow-ish). TMI?

And, yes, I've had a sore throat from pollen allergy, but usually that's also accompanied by other symptoms like itching mouth, nose, eyes, etc. But, hey, the body does new, weird stuff all the time, so who knows?
