New Camera Is New
Jul. 2nd, 2011 09:16 pmYes, I caved. I bought a new camera. Not that I really needed to, the EOS 450D was working just fine. But I really wanted the 550D, because it can record HD videos and has a few more, nifty functions the 450D doesn't have. Not that I think I'm gonna use the video function extensively, but it's nice to know that I now have it.
I've had it for about a week now, and I took it out for a spin last Sunday. I finally managed to put a best-of up online, and here's a few highlights. Admittedly, not the best photos I've ever taken, but, hey, it was just a regular old walk through the rather unspectacular nearby forest...

Date: 2011-07-03 06:15 pm (UTC)The forest isn't in walking distance, unless I wanted to walk 15 to 20 minutes along the street first, so I usually take the car there (which is just 5 minutes, of course). And it also borders on the motorway, so once you get closer to that part of it, you can hear the cars whooshing past, even if you can't see them. It's actually a little less idyllic than it might appear in the pictures. Still, it's nice to have a patch of forest like that nearby.

I have a camera that I usually have with me... that I never use even though I always say I'll take pictures. -_-
