Don't really have time to post much about this one, but I know that if I don't do it now, I'm never gonna do it.
I gotta say, yeah baby, that's White Collar as we like it! I still have issues with Neal sanctioning the fencing of the Nazi loot, but I'm gonna have to accept that that's gonna shadow all of season three, so...
New title theme seems to be getting a lot of hate. I actually liked it. Well, except for the music. Because that's just not... right. It's not White Collar. It's-- I don't even know what to call it. But I did like the imagery. And just for the record, my favorite WhiCo title theme is still the early sesaon 1 one. The music was just win, and I actually use it as my alert tone for new texts on my cell phone.
As for the episode itself, it was fun, it was chuckly, it was just the right amount of Neal/Peter and the right amount of more serious stuff. Best thing about it? No Sara. Okay, I know that's mean. And I'm not a hater. But not a fan either. I could totally do with Sara-less White Collar and not miss anything.
Oh, and now we have confirmation that Neal Caffrey is indeed an alias, right? Boo, hiss. Do not like. :-(
Also, yay! Bill Sadler. I'm such a geek. We barely saw half his face in that first shot where you only see a photo of him in a file, and I pointed at the TV screen and said to K2, "Hey, look, it's Bill Sadler." And she was, like, "Who?"
And, yes, I actually didn't watch this one on my own. My beloved, awesome, bubbly colleague K2 is over from the US this week, and I actually held off watching the show until tonight (when I could have watched it yesterday already), so that we could see it together for the first time. And it was great to have someone there to geek out with and discuss with afterwards.
So, yes, fun-ness all around for this one. Thumbs up, Mr. Goffman. And now I really need to crash because it's getting late and I don't wanna wake up with a headache again tomorrow (though I have a feeling that ship's already sailed).
