White Collar - "Three Letters"
May. 11th, 2011 12:08 amTitle: Three Letters
Author: TeeJay
whitecollar100 Prompt: #45 Whisper
Genre: Gen
Characters/Pairings: Neal, OMC
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG-13
Summary: He saw Barrowman mouth the three letters. It was then that Neal knew without a doubt it was time he took Peter's deal.
Author's Note: Yep, I'm back at the time Neal spent in prison between episodes 1x14 and 2x01. But don't worry, this time no Woobie!Neal for a change.
Disclaimer: White Collar, its characters and its settings belong to Jeff Eastin and USA Network. And, guys? Your characters are not only welcome, they're wonderful. I'm just borrowing, I promise.
It was barely a whisper, but Neal understood every single word just the same.
"Three letters, Caffrey. I know."
Neal whirled around in his seat, even though the wooden benches of the prison mess hall didn't allow for any maneuvering room to speak of. His eyes fell on Gary Barrowman, a bulky guy whose tattoos were as mean as his character. He saw Barrowman mouth the three letters.
F-B-I.
It was then that Neal knew without a doubt it was time he took Peter's deal. A 2-mile radius was much preferable to what they did to a snitch in prison.
