IT TAKES A CON TO CATCH A CON – Driven by the fact that there are few things more dangerous than a prisoner who has just escaped, and tired of following protocol and resorting to outdated methods of law enforcement, veteran U.S. Marshals Charlie Duchamp (Laz Alonso) and Ray Zancanelli (Domenick Lombardozzi) are taking an unorthodox approach to their work: using former fugitives (Jimmi Simpson, Malcolm Goodwin & Serinda Swan) to catch fugitives.

Season 1, Episode 1 – Pilot
Two U.S. Marshals run a special task force that uses convicted felons to catch dangerous criminals who’ve escaped from prison. Every time they successfully nail the fugitive(s), they get to shave one month off their own sentences.

Hm, sound familiar? Geez. There really are no more original ideas in Hollywood anymore. I'm still willing to give it a shot, especially seeing how it looks like Being Human (US) is going to get cancelled after only 10 episodes. If it's too much like White Collar, I'm gonna hate it by default anyway. Bonus point, though: Laz Alonso. Come 'ere, Tsu'Tey!

Hmmm Hollywood needs to be restarted too, since they like reboots so much. Originality seems to be scarce these days...

Absolutely. I've been ranting about the lack of original ideas for a long time now. I mean, who needs a Saw IX or X? I already didn't need a part III.

i downloaded it, didn't watch it all the way through. It was bad, and it bored me.

I didn't think it was too bad. I actually enjoyed most of it. Not sure I'm going to watch more than the pilot, though.

I watched it last night. It is pretty darn similar to White Collar in concept. One of our guest stars is even in it as a main character! I did like the episode though and would be willing to watch more.

It's also annoying because it's set in New York but doesn't film here so it doesn't LOOK like New York darn it.

Yep, I agree, it's pretty similar in concept, but still different enough for me not to hate it. Which guest star was the main character? I tried looking very hard, but obviously I didn't pay close enough attention to the guy on White Collar. I know Laz Alonso from Avatar and Brooke Nevin from this little horror comedy called Infestation. That's about all the guys I recognized.

And of course I can't judge on the New Yorkish look since I've never been there. I'm loosely planning a trip for 2012 with a friend, though.

I don't know if it's definitely going to get cancelled, but anaithis told me they just shortened season 1 from 13 to 10 episodes, which is usually a sure sign that a network is going to get rid of a show.

Hab' ich noch nix von gehört oder gesehen. Und klingt für mich auch kein bißchen interessant oder verlockend. Die Schauspieler sagen mir auch alle nichts.
Schon ganz schön traurig, dass HW immer nur erfolgreiche Konzepte wiederholen oder sich selbst kopieren kann. Zurzeit haben eh nur Happy-Heile-Welt-Serien Erfolg.

Ich hab's auch nur durch Zufall auf meiner TV Kalender Seite gesehen. Fand das klang so als wenn's Potential hätte, interessant zu sein. Den Pilot hab ich jetzt gesehen. Fand's okay, aber auch nicht doll. Weiß noch nicht, ob ich weitergucken werde. Allerdings glaube ich fast, ich sollte es lieber sein lassen. Fühlt sich sehr nach ner Serie an, die nach ca. 10 Folgen wieder im Nirwana verschwinden wird.

Welche TV-Kalender-Seite benutzt du? Gibt's da ne praktische Übersicht?

Ich gucke immer hier (http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/). Es gibt keine wirkliche Übersicht über neue Serien. Breakout Kings ist mir nur aufgefallen, weil oben im Moment steht: NEW SHOWS! - Game of Thrones, Happy Endings, Breaking In, Endgame, The Killing, Camelot, Terra Nova, Body of Proof, Breakout Kings - ADD THEM NOW! Und da haben sie immerhin Synopsen zu diesen Serien verlinkt.

Am besten funktioniert das Teil, wenn Du unter Add Shows to Your Filter oben nur die rauspickst, die Dich interessieren, sonst ist das Teil ziemlich unübersichtlich weil Du sonst jeden Tag zig Serien gelistet hast. Aber mit Filter ist der super!

Oh, das sieht ja echt interessant aus. Und es sind auch britische Serien dabei, das ist mir wichtig. Danke für den Link! Muß ich mir morgen mit wachem Kopf mal in Ruhe ansehen. :)

Was mir noch einfällt: Bei den Settings macht es meines Erachtens auch Sinn, das auf eine US Zeitzone zu stellen, sonst zeigt er Dir die Airdates immer einen Tag nach der Ausstrahlung in den USA an. Ist aber sicher Geschmackssache wie man das handhabt.
