OMG, GUYS, PETER OUTERBRIDGE IS GONNA BE ON SUITS!!!!

Sorry. I'm just really excited. It's just a guest role, probably a one episode gig. But I'm still excited! I love Suits. And I needed to share that. Can you tell I'm excited? ;-)

Season 2 premieres June 14 on USA Network. And, yay, Peter Outerbridge!!!

Yep, indeed so. Let's see. I'm gonna be happy with whatever they're gonna give us. But I pray to God that it's gonna be a halfway likeable character. Because lately, all he's ever played was either total creeps or criminals. I really need an Outerbridge character for a change I can actually like.

Yeah, from what I remember of his appearances in shows I watched he was never a very lovable character :( It's almost like this actor that I like a lot Peter Wingfield, he's a Brit and I first saw him on Highlander, I loved his character and it was probably the only show where he played a "good" character. All the other American shows he was in he always played the bad guy. Well except for "Sanctuary" he played a good guy there too :)))

Let's hope he plays a good guy on Suits :D

You probably don't gauge the extent of my Outerbridge obsession. /o\ I only discovered ReGenesis late last year (I think November), and since then, I've watched almost everything he's done since 2005, and some of his earlier work that came recommended and that I could actually get my hands on. And let me tell you, some of it has been really bad. I mean, really bad. As in "why did I just waste 90 minutes of my precious life time on this?" :-D

As for the roles he's played, I wouldn't even go as far as saying he's being typecast as the bad guy or the creepy guy. He's done so many different things that it's hard to even put a stamp on it (which is probably a good thing). Still, it's just that most of his recent roles, while being very diverse in nature, have not been characters that you really want to sympathize or empathize with. I mean, yes, his role on Bomb Girls was somewhat ambiguous, and I do feel a certain empathy for Bob Corbett, but he doesn't make it easy to like him. (And that, in turn, proves it's wonderful acting.)

Did you see the Sanctuary episode with POB? I really love that one. Again, not an amiable character, but oh-so angsty. And how I love my angst! After ReGenesis, I think it's my favorite role of his.

If I try to think back on the roles where POB has played a character you can really like and may want to be friends with in real life, there's really only two things that come to mind: Charlie Manning from this slightly cheesy Lifetime TV movie 'My Name Is Sarah' and Peter Varland from the Canadian TV show 'Whistler'. It would be really nice to see him do something like that again, though I'm sure the creepy, sinister or angsty roles are a lot more interesting to play.

Oh honey how I understand you, lol! When I like an actor, I start this quest for past things and normally watch everything that is possible to get my hands on. And yep, some are just not worth even 5 minutes, lol! But I like to see anyway :))

Well, Outerbridge has over 90 credits on IMDb, and I'm sure there's things he's done that aren't listed. It dates back to the early 90's, and some of that you can't buy or get on the internet. I've watched probably half of it by now, and I still have a few unwatched things standing on my DVD shelf.

He was in episode 1x04 of Sanctuary, so you've probably seen him. He played Malcolm Dawkins, one of the Folding Men:

Lol, that's lots of credits! I also had that problem looking for some of the earlier stuff from Daniel Craig, and even from Bennedict... some things you can't find on the internet. But I have so much fun watching especially the earlier works and see the evolution of an actor :)) I love it!

Meine Peter? ;-) Ich bin ja sehr gespannt, was für einen Charakter er spielt. Hoffentlich nicht wieder son Ekel oder nen Kriminellen, obwohl es der Beschreibung nach sich ganz gut anhört. Und hoffentlich lassen sie ihn halbwegs nett aussehen. In Bomb Girls haben sie's irgendwie hingekriegt, dass er 10 Jahre älter aussieht als er ist. Und, ja, Suits ist auch einer meiner Favoriten im Moment. Schade, dass die Staffeln der Mid-Seasons immer nur so kurz sind.
