So it looks like I've got a thing for voices. Cause I was watching the pilot of Alcatraz (without much of an idea what it was gonna be about and no idea about who was gonna be in it), and the first scene there's the voiceover, and I'm, like, "Hey, that's Sam Neill's voice, right?" And it was. I also recognized Jenny Young's voice in Trust, Inc. the other day, going, "Hey, that's Kinsella from Afghanada!"

So, yeah, I checked out Alcatraz. And I'm not too impressed after having seen the pilot. I'll probably keep watching because people keep saying the characters grow on you. And I love Sam Neill. So the verdict is still out on that one.

I also watched the pilot of Touch last night. And that one drew me in right away, to the point where when it was finished I went, okay, so where do I find the other episodes that have aired? Turns out there are none. I mean, whose idiot idea was it to preview the pilot at the end of January and then let people wait two months for the rest of the episodes? That's just stupid. And I'm kinda pissed. Also, another show where they're cheating. It's supposed to play in New York, but I think it's shot in LA.

So, are there any other new shows out there that are worth looking into? Alcatraz and Touch were the only ones I've heard people talk about.

Alcatrac werde ich mir auch noch anschauen, aber erst wenn ich weiß das es eine zweite Staffel geben wird. Mir geht dieses ständige canceln echt auf die Nerven.
Von Touch hatte ich mir sehr viel mehr versprochen. Ist mir zu spirituell und viel zu schnell erzählt. Das wäre eine nette Idee für einen Film gewesen. Ich denke nicht das ich weitergucken werde.
Gestern war dann In Time dran. Der hat uns sehr gefallen. Allein die Idee war großartig. Zwar hätte man auch da noch mehr raus machen können, aber es hat ja nicht jeder die Mittel einen x-Millionen-$-Film zu produzieren. Matt wurde auch direkt erkannt. Eine kurze, aber wichtige Rolle. Passte perfekt. Und... sogar die Synchronstimme war die von White Collar. Sowas freut mich immer sehr.

Schwer zu sagen, ob Alcatraz ne zweite Staffel kriegt. Hab auch keine Ahnung, wie die Ratings so sind. Wir werden sehen.

In Time fand ich auch ziemlich gut. Hab die Blu-ray jetzt auch hier, muss ich unbedingt nochmal gucken. Und schön mit der Synchronstimme. Manchmal geben sie sich ja doch Mühe.

I personally fell for Person of Interest. I initially checked it out because I like Jim Caviezal, but ended up sticking around for him and the guys who play Finch and Fusco. It airs in the US on CBS, and there should be about a dozen and half or so eps floating around.

Thanks for the tip, but I watched the pilot of POI when it first aired. And I must say that it didn't draw me in at all. I checked out a number of new shows back then, and POI was one of those I dropped after the pilot. The ones I stuck with were Unforgettable, Ringer and A Gifted Man.

It's not super new exactly, but I'm totally in love with New Girl. It started out a bit shaky, but it's found it's stride now and the characters are fantastic. Worth a shot if you've not seen it.

Von Alcatraz habe ich bisher auch nur den Piloten gesehen. Hatte mir mehr davon versprochen und hab's erst mal auf Eis gelegt. Touch liegt noch hier rum. Irgednwie konnte ich mich noch nicht aufraffen. Kein gutes Zeichen.

Ich hab von Alcatraz jetzt drei Folgen gesehen. Super finde ich's immer noch nicht, aber immerhin interessant genug, um dranzubleiben. Und Touch hat mir richtig gut gefallen, da freue ich mich schon auf neue Folgen. Hoffentlich bleiben die so gut.

Grimm hat mich total in seinen Bann gezogen. Die ersten vier Folgen waren mehr okayish, aber als echter Märchenfan bin ich dabeigeblieben - außerdem ist die Cinematography einfach wunderschön anzuschauen. Aber ab Folge fünf legt die Serie so richtig los - ich kann sie nur wärmsten empfehlen. Allerdings empfehle ich nicht, dabei zu essen...
Das Beste ist, was die Show alles NICHT macht. Stell dir eine Show for in der der Held zusammengeschlagen wird und NICHT innerhalb kürzester Zeit das Krankenhaus verläßt um einen Gegner zu besiegen, in der Beziehungsprobleme NICHT unnötig dramatisiert werden, in dem die Charaktere mal wie vernünftige Menschen handeln - es ist schon komisch, dass asgerechnet eine Show über Monster realistischer ist als alle Polizei Shows die im Augenblick laufen zusammengenommen. Die Polizisten warten sogar auf Back-up!

Ich hatte mir damals als Grimm startete mal angeschaut, worum es in den neuen Serien geht, und Grimm hatte mich so gar nicht angesprochen. Bin auch kein großer Märchenfan. Ne Menge Leute auf meiner f-list finden es ganz toll, aber ich bin irgendwie noch skeptisch. Vielleicht sollte ich doch mal reingucken.

Und was Du darüber erzählst, was die Serie NICHT macht, erinnert mich irgendwie an ReGenesis. Denn da wird der Hauptdarsteller auch nach dem Autounfall nicht gleich aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen und hüpft putzmunter durch die Gegend. Er läuft sogar nach der Sommerpause zwischen den Staffeln (wo laut Serie ca. 6 Wochen vergangen sind) immer noch mit einem leichten Humpeln. Und für den Rest der Serie haben sie ihm eine Narbe auf die Stirn geklebt, weil der da eine fette Platzwunde hatte. Das nenn ich mal Liebe zum Detail, und es nicht der einzige Grund, warum ich mich in ReGenesis verliebt habe. :-)

Das Viren-Thema ist nichts für mich...freaks me out, um ehrlich zu sein.

Grimm ist gerade für eine zweite Staffel verlängert worden - zum Glück, denn das ist die einzige neue Serie, die mein Interesse geweckt hat. Ich hab zwar einige Pilot-episoden geschaut, aber die haben alle nicht so wirklich funktioniert. Aber für dich als Fotographin dürfte Grimm schon alleine wegen der Optik von interesse sein.
