One of the creators and writers of Bomb Girls just sent me a message via Tumblr, thanking me for my "thoughtful and encouraging words" on their series. (I have been posting weekly reviews of the show on my Tumblr.) Michael effin' MacLennan sent me a message! Me. I mean... I... I... guh. I don't even know what to say. :-O

I think I'm gonna be working all day on a way how to appropriately respond to him that doesn't involve stuttering and flailing and mouth gaping. But, uhm, thank you. Thank you, sir. I am truly and genuinely flattered. And now I'm gonna go flail some more.

*flails* I'm still speechless. But at least I've formulated and posted a response by now. And these are the kinds of moments where being a fan of something is the most wonderful thing in the world and makes all the efforts of review writing and fandom involvement a 100x more worthwhile.

No prob, I couldn't access LJ at all there for a few minutes. (Uh oh?) And, yes, those are the moments where being a fangirl is about the best thing in the world. I suppose it's also the advantages of being part of a rather small fandom where your voice counts more.
