Grey's Anatomy Goes Musical? Seriously??
Apr. 3rd, 2011 02:24 pmWhose brainfart was this, and—worse still—who encouraged this someone to write and film it? This was the very first Grey's Anatomy episode that I didn't actually watch. Well, I kinda did because I wanted to know what happened, but I fast forwarded through large portions of it. Especially those with the singing. Because, seriously? Making a musical episode for a hospital TV show is just an incredibly bad idea. Even more so if the episode is about something really important. Like, oh, a major character's life hanging in the balance.
That said, I didn't think the singing was bad. But it just didn't friggin' belong in a Grey's Anatomy episode. So, yeah, I hope they never do it again. Case closed. Next?
As much as I didn't enjoy Shonda Rhime's latest caper, I very much enjoyed the sesaon premiere of Nurse Jackie. God, that show is so quirky. There isn't a character on that show I don't love. I mean, of course, they all have their flaws, but that's what makes it so much fun.
I also watched The Event, and I'm getting a tad bored with it. I won't be too sad if this show didn't see a second season. Makes me wanna hit someone at ABC over the head with a rubber chicken because I'd much rather have seen a second season of FlashForward than a first season of The Event. (And, yes, I know The Event is an NBC show, but that doesn't make it any better.)
So, uhm, can you tell I'm having a lazy Sunday, catching up on all the TV shows I missed last week? Next up, CSI:NY. Couch potatoing is a wonderful thing.
