The US version of "Being Human"
Feb. 9th, 2011 12:06 amOkay, so normally I don't like it when British TV shows get revamped for US television. Because, come on, it's just a rip-off of someone else's concept and more proof that Hollywood doesn't have any original ideas anymore. Still, I had to check out the US version of Being Human, merely because Sam Huntington's in it.
It's not that I'm a huge fan or anything, but I will support anyone who's been in Fanboys. Because that movie holds a special place in my heart, and so does its cast.
And what can I say? I just saw the first two episodes, and I'm in. Two tortured souls for the price of one? The McPunisher in me won't be able to resist. Now, without having seen the UK original, I can still say these ideas aren't new. They actually seem pretty cliché, and it has Twilight written all over it. In a much more gritty, grungy kind of way. I'm curious to see where they're going to take it. But if Sam keeps being this adorable, I might be in it for the long haul. (It helps that I wanna ruffle his hair and cuddle him in every second scene.)
On a more real life note, today sucked ass. Badly. I'm not gonna go into detail, but for the first time in a few years, I've actually been entertaining the idea of looking for a new job. Not that that I'm seriously considering going through with it, but it just seems like too many bombs have dropped lately, and a pretty big one today. I have a meeting with my Line Manager tomorrow (just routine stuff), and I hope I'm not gonna explode and throw all the things in her face that have gone wrong recently.
So we're gonna have to move offices. Again. It would take too long to really explain why that's such a big deal, but it is. It sucks. Copious amounts of ass. And none of our team is happy about it. (Understatement!) I shouldn't be talking about it now because it's gonna get me all riled up again. Which is not good because I should have been in bed 30 minutes ago. Which is why I'm just gonna call it a day now and hit the shower. Hopefully tomorrow night I'm gonna have more Sam Huntington and Matt Bomer to distract me when I get home. Can't wait!
