Thank you, Delta.

Canceled flights = failsauce. Epically so. Because, yay, I get to spend another day in Raleigh. And we weren't even flying anywhere near where the snow chaos is. Our original flight to Atlanta was canceled due to technical problems with the plane. The later flight they booked us on was delayed, so we wouldn't have made the connecting flight to Germany.
And then -- get this! -- they wanted to actually book us on a flight via JFK that still had seats available. Yeah, fly us right into the middle of the snow storm. Great idea! So we said thanks, but no thanks and took the next day option. Cross your fingers that this won't repeat tomorrow, because I'm not especially keen on spending another night in the US. Also, my stash of clean clothes is running out.
So now it's back to the office, and I'm starving. I only had a few crackers and a cookie in the Delta Lounge. Which isn't any kind of lunch to speak of. The java chip frappucino I had upon arrival at the airport that I couldn't resist getting won't be able to sustain me for much longer. I think I need to hit the vending machine downstairs.
The only positive thing about this is, I basically got paid for sitting around at the airport for three hours, munching away on free food. And another hour being driven to a hotel and back to the office. Business trips are great.
