"Honey, it's Neal. Do you want to talk to him?" Elizabeth asked, holding up the cell phone.

Peter, pale-faced and messy-haired, looked up from where he half sat, half lay in bed, a mug of chamomile tea barely touched on the nightstand.

"Is it urgent?" he croaked weakly.

Elizabeth understood and raised her hand to indicate so. Outside in the hallway, she lifted the phone to her ear again. "Neal, Peter's sick. If this can wait, I think it might be better to leave him alone for a few days."

"Stomach flu?" Neal asked.

"How did you know?"

"It's going around in the office."

"Oh," Elizabeth said. "Not you too, I hope?"

"Nah, I'm fine," he reassured her.

"So, uhm, is there anything I can do for you while Peter's incapacitated?"

"Thanks, Elizabeth, but this can wait until after he's better."

"Okay. Take care, Neal."

"You too. And tell Peter 'Get Well Soon'."

As soon as Neal hit the Disconnect button, he ran to the bathroom to give a repeat performance of emptying what was left of his stomach contents into the toilet bowl.

When the retching stopped, he figured he better contact Diana or Jones to call in sick.
